It is the time of year again! The School Art Gallery at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre is open from April 23, 2022 to August 20, 2022.

Welcome spring with the School Art 2022 exhibition! Full of colour, energy and talent, let this exhibition lift your spirits this Spring and Summer. Our display that showcases the creativity and skill of Medicine Hat and region’s students, from Kindergarten to Grade 12 has been a Medicine Hat tradition for the last 44 years. This annual exhibition has grown from 50 works in 1978 to over 800 from 41 different schools today. Paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, animated and live action video fill the gallery and will awe, amaze and inspire you.

This year judges have gone back into schools to select works for the exhibition, so a huge thank you to all volunteers, participating students, school staff and teachers, award donors and everyone who continues to support this program and the promotion of visual arts in our community.
