Religious Education Review (survey for grades 7-12 families)

Dear Parents/Guardians of Grade 7-12 Students,  

During the week of May 3-7, 2021, we will be conducting a Catholic School review in your school community. The purpose of this process of gathering, analyzing and synthesizing information is to assist in the creation of a strategic plan that continues to move and improve our schools in the area of Catholicity. Our ultimate goal is to impact student faith formation, learning and to ensure that children are bring formed spiritually as well as academically, socially and physically. 

This process involves gathering data and evidence through surveys, interviews, documentation review, and general observations (as far COVID-19 regulations allow). To make this a success, we need your assistance.  

What can you do to help us with the process? 

  • Talk to your children about their school experience and how they can contribute to the process by speaking with the review team or by taking a survey during this week. All students will be given the opportunity to be surveyed and some of them will be chosen to be interviewed.
  • Let the division know if you would be willing to have a short interview with a member of the team. This can be conducted by phone during the day and into the early evening. If interested please email your name, contact number, and best time to reach you to info@mhcbe.ab.ca
  • As a Medicine Hat Catholic Schools parent, please take time to fill out the parent survey: Catholic Schools Religious Education Review - Parent/Guardian Survey 

Please note, only one survey per household will be registered by the program. The survey is available until Thursday, May 6, 2021.
