Orange Shirt Day
Posted on Sep 10, 2019
Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for Indigenous Peoples, Governments, Schools & Communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope.
Medicine Hat Catholic Schools will acknowledge Orange Shirt Day on Monday, September 30, as Students and Staff will receive an orange “Every Child Matters” pencil to recognize the day.
By wearing an orange shirt we acknowledge the experience of residential school survivors and honour them by showing a collective commitment to ensure that every child matters.
