The well-being and safety of students is our priority. We want to assure families that students are safe and supported as they travel to and from school each day. 

On June 26, 2019 we were made aware of concerning circumstances that involved a former casual bus driver associated with our transportation service provider, Southland Transportation, through a story published in the Medicine Hat News. We understand the Medicine Hat City Police investigated and have concluded their investigation.  

We are assured that Southland has processes in place that include both a Criminal Record Check and background check and are currently reviewing their policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness.

Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education and Medicine Hat Public School Division along with our education partner, Southland Transportation, take the responsibility of student transportation very seriously and we want to ensure families that we remain committed to student safety as a priority.
