High School Art Accolade
Posted on Feb 15, 2022
This year’s High School Art Exhibition at the Medicine Hat College consists of 80 works of art – ranging from drawing, illustration, painting, and printmaking to mixed media, 2D animation and stop motion - submitted by students from Medicine Hat High School, Crescent Heights High School, and Monsignor McCoy High School. Submissions were reviewed by MHC’s art and design faculty with first, second, and third place winners, along with one honourable mention, selected based on a variety of criteria.
Last weekend, students from Monsignor McCoy were awarded in all four categories! We are incredibly proud of the quality work that comes from our art program at MMHS. Congratulations Mrs. Ensz and students!
- First Place: Jazlyn Engel- Distortion
- Second Place: Johanna Ohlegge- Still Life Reflection
- Third Place: Tyson Reiling- Fractured Bird
- Honorable Mention: Taya Sweeney- Watching
Community members are invited to check out the High School Art Exhibition on display at the Medicine Hat College until February 24.
