Day of Prayer - Oct. 17

Posted on Oct 15, 2023

Bishop McGrattan is calling on the Diocese to respond to the request of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem by designating Tuesday, October 17, as a Day of Prayer and Fasting for Peace in the Holy Land.

There is power in prayer, especially when we join together in solidarity. On October 17, all schools will pray in solidarity for peace in the Holy Land.

Lord, we pray for all those impacted by the conflict in the Holy Land. May God grant eternal rest to the deceased, console those grieving, protect and comfort those in fear, and guide world leaders so this conflict may be brought to a peaceful end. May love conquer hate and division and may Light overcome the darkness. Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, pray for us.

Community members are welcome to join in prayer as a faith community at Holy Family Parish at 3:45pm on Tuesday, October 17th.
