“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Not only did this year begin entirely different than expected, but we finished this school year in a way that nobody would have been able to foresee.  Yet, in the midst of this, we did what we do best -  we came together to look after one another!  I am grateful for all of our families supporting our student’s learning at home, ensuring that they were successful!

Additionally, I want to thank our incredibly dedicated staff for working beyond expectations to support our students and their needs.  Faced with an overwhelming situation, all have risen to the occasion, and I admire each and every one of them!  I am so proud of what they were able to accomplish, and I am proud to be part of the MHCBE family.

Finally, I would like to honour our Class of 2020!  Our grad class has missed out on a number of memorable moments, yet they have persevered with grace and dignity.  Alongside their principal, teachers and family members, I would like to wish each and everyone of them the love of their family, the respect of their fellow human beings and the grace of God.  Congratulations to the class of 2020 and may God bless each one of you!

As the end of my first year at MHCBE draws to a close, it would be difficult for me to not mention how blessed I truly am to be working with such an amazing group of people in our central office and in our schools.  While we do not know exactly what the fall will bring us, we do know that we will face it together, as a family and we will “walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8)

Summer Activities:

Take time to claim your strength; they are gifts of God.

Take time to have fun; it's God's way of teaching you your strengths.

Take time to grow yourself; only you can grow you.

Take time to trust yourself; God trusts you.

Take time to be self-reliant; it is better than being dependent.

Take time to share with others; they will bless you, and you will bless them.

Take time to have hope, you are a child of God.

Let's put ourselves into the hands of the Lord, and pray that God will bless us and our families during the wonderful months of summer. May we all help make our home a place of relaxation, joy, love, peace and safety. May we be generous and considerate, not thinking only about ourselves, but helping others enjoy the blessings of summertime. Lord God, Creator of all things, guide our steps and strengthen our hearts, during these months of summer and vacation days. Grant us refreshment of mind and body. We ask this through Christ our Lord. (source: catholicdoors.com).

Have a great summer and God bless!
