World Teachers' Day - Superintendent's Blog
Posted on Oct 5, 2019Pope Francis has shared with us that we need to “be courageous!” Being a teacher in a Catholic school requires courage. Not because it is dangerous but rather because it requires us to be vulnerable. To truly demonstrate God’s love requires each one of us to love. To truly accept the differences that we witness in our classrooms requires us to acknowledge differences inherent to us. I truly believe that teachers are amazing people, and I believe that teaching is more than a job, it is a vocation. As Catholic teachers, we are called to nurture the whole child, which requires courage. Our students are truly blessed to have such an amazing group of people who have answered the call!
Happy World Teacher’s Day!
