Superintendent's Welcome Message

Welcome to the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education and our website! It is an honour and privilege to serve as superintendent of such an incredible learning community!

Many people ask what separates Catholic schools from the rest... While it is true that we use the same curriculum as all schools, Catholic schools go much further. Catholic schools believe that every student is precious and a gift from God. We recognize that each one of our students is unique and we will seek to develop all dimensions of their character and skills to the best of their abilities. The measure of what we do is whether or not we enhance the life and dignity of each student. We believe that our students need to be people of dignity and integrity, who want to make a difference in the world!

This year, over 2600 students will attend one of our nine schools. We welcome students who are not currently attending a school in our jurisdiction to experience the difference that a Catholic education makes! As soon as you enter one of our schools, you will understand what makes us special!

To our returning students, please know that your education is the single most important part of my job! It is my promise to you to do the best that I can to support each one of you in your educational journey with us!
