A season of preparation - Superintendent's Blog

Posted on Dec 16, 2019

Advent is a season of preparation that gives us a glimpse of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem as well as a glimpse into the future of his return. This is a time for us to become more involved in our faith, parish and communities. It is also a time for reflection and contemplation. Advent helps us focus not only on the birth of Jesus, but also why he came to be with us, which is why we celebrate Christmas.

While there are many preparations that take place before Christmas, the most important preparation is in our heart. If we want to really understand and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas, we need to prepare our hearts, not complete to-do lists. My hope for each one of you is to find time during this season of preparation to reflect, find peace and share joy.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and be blessed in the New Year!
