We are pleased to share the three successful candidates who will serve as the leadership team at Monsignor McCoy High School.

Mr. Rob Burzminski has been appointed as Principal of Monsignor McCoy.

Mr. Burzminski began teaching at Monsignor McCoy in 2000 and assumed the role of Vice Principal in 2013. Over the years, he has served as athletic director and coached boys volleyball, golf, track, and cross country. During his time in administration, he has helped lead several major initiatives, including the school modernization, the expansion of programming through the fine arts and baseball academies, advanced placement, the introduction of outreach programming and international education, and most recently, the launch of the first responder academy. Mr. Burzminski is deeply committed to the Monsignor McCoy community and looks forward to continuing to serve in this new leadership role.

Joining him are two highly qualified Vice Principals: Mr. Dakota Ruschkowski and Mrs. Natasha Taylor.

Mr. Ruschkowski has been part of the Monsignor McCoy team since 2020 and brings 10 years of teaching experience. Originally from Oyen, he graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2015 and recently completed MHCBE’s two year leadership enhancement program. He coaches the senior boys volleyball team and will play a key role in the implementation of the new first responder academy this fall. Mr. Ruschkowski is excited to continue supporting students, staff, and the wider school community in his new leadership role.

Mrs. Taylor brings over 25 years of experience in Catholic education. Rooted in faith, she models servant leadership that fosters a compassionate, inclusive, and spiritually enriched school community.

Her background in Learning Services has equipped her with expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), support planning, and collaboration - all of which are essential in nurturing the dignity and potential of every learner. She is passionate about mentoring staff, building a Christ-centered community, and aligning practices with division priorities that reflect both academic excellence and spiritual development.

Since stepping into their acting roles in April 2025, this team has demonstrated strong leadership and care for the school community. We are confident that under their continued guidance, Monsignor McCoy will remain a place where faith, learning, and excellence thrive.

Congratulations Rob, Dakota, and Natasha, on your new official roles as Principal and Vice Principals of Monsignor McCoy High School!
