Divisional Supports

English as a Second Language (ESL) Division Lead coordinates assessments and services and serves as a resource for families and staff on ELL supports and instruction.

Indigenous Lead Teacher facilitates communication among students, staff, parents, grandparents or extended family, the school division, school, and partner agencies, including community organizations, Social Services, Family and Children Services, and mental health personnel, to advocate for the academic, social, emotional, physical, and cultural needs of the FNMI student and his/her family. 

Inclusive Learning Consultant is an educational consultant who works collaboratively with school-based teams to develop inclusive educational programs for students who require long-term specialized and/or individualized support (educational, regulatory, and/or social-emotional). 

Contracted Low Incidence Services

  • Complex Communication Needs SLP: Services for students with Complex Communication Needs who generally consults collaboratively with the Inclusive Learning Consultant. 
  • Physical Therapists provide support to students with school-based gross motor functioning or equipment needs. 
  • Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) provides support for learners who have low vision or are blind. They provide training and consultation on issues such as access to the learning environment, assistive technology, braille literacy, and orientation and mobility.
  • Consultants for Deaf and Hard of Hearing provide support in optimizing the learning environment for students with hearing loss.
